Oh joy 20 months. Lola is still talking it up like a champ repeating everything we say. She actually mimicked the sentence "I'm proud of you" the other day. And just yesterday she identified octagon for the babysitter which really amazed us. She prefers to walk everywhere and there is no turning back to look for us which keeps us on our toes. I put her in front of the children's grocery cart recently and she pushed it all over the store. The items she retrieved from the shelf were as follows; salad dressing, Chips Ahoy cookies, creamer, wine, small pre-packaged blueberry muffins. I enjoyed viewing her assortment and decided these were, for the most part, items that I would have chosen myself. She learns quick. The wine was a red but I did not check to see if it was a merlot or pino noir as I was too busy scurrying after her to keep her from dropping the bottle. I could just see it now Clean up on aisle 2! She's asserting her independence and often remarks No! if we try to help her with any given task. I had my hand setting on the table 3" from her chicken nuggets the other day and she gently took my hand and removed it from the table. This independence stage becomes amusing when she puts socks on her arms and tries to wear the potty as a hat. So thankful for once that she has NOT started potty training!!!
